[Event/Seminar] Special Lecture Series and Colloquium on Spintronics by Prof. Yoshishige Suzuki

It was our pleasure to host Prof. Yoshishige Suzuki from the Osaka Institute of Technology for a special intensive lecture series entitled “Applications of Spintronics and the Underlying Physics” from May 25-29. The lectures provided a comprehensive introduction to spintronics, covering not only the technological aspects but also its fundamental physical principles and historical development. The lectures stimulated lively discussions, with students and researchers actively engaging in questions and exchanges of ideas.
On May 29, Prof. Suzuki also delivered a departmental colloquium titled “Voltage Effects in Ferromagnetic Metals and Energy-Efficient Spintronics.” In this talk, he introduced his group's latest research efforts toward realizing low-power spintronic technologies using voltage-controlled approaches. The colloquium attracted broad interest, leading to a vibrant discussion on future directions and challenges in next-generation spintronic devices.
