[Publication] Collaborative Research on Ultrafast Magnetism in Antiferromagnets Published in Nature Materials

Our collaborative research with Professor Ryo Shimano’s group (The University of Tokyo) has been published in Nature Materials.
Using precise, ultrafast magneto-optical Kerr effect imaging, the study reports switching process on the order of ~100–140 picoseconds — a time scale previously thought too fast to observe directly. This discovery significantly advances our understanding of how antiferromagnets can be electrically manipulated at ultrafast timescales, and it paves the way for the future development of next-generation spintronic memory and logic devices based on antiferromagnetic materials.
