On June 19, we held the 6th Early Career Seminar featuring Motoki Aoki, an assistant professor in the Miwa Laboratory at the Institute for Solid State Physics, The University of Tokyo.
In his presentation titled Spintronics in Graphene-based van der Waals Heterostructures, he carefully explained the fundamental physical mechanisms and the ideas behind achieving spin injection into graphene within van der Waals heterostructures. This was followed by a lively discussion among students and researchers regarding the potential applications of using graphene.
The “Early Career Seminar” series aims to provide a supportive environment for young researchers to present their work, deepen academic discussions, and strengthen international connections across institutions and disciplines. We would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Aoki for his outstanding contribution to this seminar series.
